Curious what my hubby looks like? Want to hear the uber-romantic story of our destination wedding? You can. Karen Putz, a writer on Disaboom.com, a community for folks with disabilities, interviewed me about what married life is like when a disability or two is part of the picture.

While I wouldn’t have chosen this path for us, I can say that experiencing the ‘for better or worse, in sickness and health’ part so early was important for our growth as a couple. We absolutely know we can count on each other. And, that’s a blessing.

But your experience doesn’t have to be as dramatic as ours was. Take a moment to recall the accomplishments you’ve made together- buying a house, raising kids, planning your future- and let those warm your heart.
